Cannabis Addiction, How bad is it?

Cannabis is the official name of the plant often referred to as marijuana or dozens of other street names. It is a plant that if smoked provides a chemically induced high to the individual smoking it. The plant has received the most media attention of any plant in history and the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol more media attention than any chemical. It has been around longer than any of humanities inventions, including civilization, and has no known lethal limit, unlike other substances such as sugar, caffeine, alcohol and vitamin C. Aside from that the high a person gets from the drug can hardly be called harmful. Most simply get relaxed and calm, is there anything really wrong with being addicted to that? Aren't we all addicted to something?
